Mesoamerica, was the Ancient region conform by the Southern Part of Mexico and the Republic of Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, has been documented by historians as being the cradle of the domesticated cacao and chocolate as processed food since Pre Columbian times. The region is well recognized by the international Industry citing it as a primal origin of cacao production. No other region in the world had domesticated cacao cultivation and produced chocolate before the XVI century.
We offer only the best fine origin cacao and derivatives available from our region. We are a group of producers, processors, and chocolatiers from Central America that work directly with cacao through all of its amazing (and tasty!) stages. We work together to add value to what we do while promoting the highest quality products and social and ecological sustainability and improvement. Our region is of central importance as the birthplace of cacao use, consumption and of one of the World’s most magical foods-chocolate. Product standard is being implemented, adopted, and monitored by the Meso-American Association of Fine Cacao and Chocolate (AMACACAO), which consists of exemplary cacao and chocolate companies from the original Mayan lands… since thousands of years the cradle (“cuna”) of chocolate passion!
